Our Company

Since our inception in 2000, Foundation Capital Resources has emerged as one of the nation’s leading resources for loans and mortgage-secured financing for churches, schools and other faith-based lending organizations.  Much of our growth has come from the strong business relationships we have with our many strategic partners.  These relationships are the cornerstone of our business.

Foundation Capital is a private Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) initially funded by equity investments from various religious financial services groups, denominational organizations, trusts, ministers’ retirement funds and church development funds.  Initial funding was also provided by numerous small investors and other organizations interested in the development of a fund to make loans to faith-based organizations throughout the country.  As a REIT, Foundation Capital Resources has consistently paid out at least 90 percent of its annual net income to its equity investors.

Foundation Capital has distinguished itself by serving as a trusted financing resource—providing lending, loan participation and loan administration in partnership with some of the nation’s leading faith-based financial entities.  Our strategic partners range from denominational loan funds of all sizes to major regional lenders to church bond broker-dealers.  Foundation Capital Resources has no loan officers or sales force.

We have closed loans for faith-based organizations from numerous denominations during our comparatively short history, in part thanks to our unique insight into the world of church financing.  Our leadership team has extensive experience in providing financing arrangements and loan servicing for churches and other organizations.

Recently, FCR underwent a transition of operations, relocating from Jackson, Mississippi to Springfield, Missouri. As a subsidiary of AG Financial, one of the largest church lenders in the United States, loans are now being serviced from AG Financial’s corporate offices. As Gerry Hindy, president and chief executive officer of AG Financial, stated, “This transition will enable FCR to be more competitive in the church lending market through the shared efficiency of operations with AG Financial.”

Foundation Capital’s commitment to its core values - integrity, accountability, initiative and respect - have helped grow the Company into one of the premier partners in faith-based financing today.
